Good Grief Gardening

Since moving into our new home in May, we hadn’t done much with the front porch (and by “much” I mean anything at all), so I decided it was time for a little refresh! It was definitely in need of some love, and after giving it a good scrub down with soap, water, and a tough spray with the hose, it already looked COMPLETELY different.

I moved around some of our patio furniture around that we’d been storing in the backyard from Target and reimagined our rattan daybed by splitting it in half to create a cozy little couch area with some repurposed IKEA throw pillows. Giving the porch a brand new look.

We also finally hung up the American flag that we were gifted at closing, which added a classic touch to the front of the house. To finish it all off, I container-planted two Better Boxwood Skylight varieties on either side of the entrance to make the space feel more welcoming and put together.
